Yes, Palin is a woman, but is she the RIGHT woman?
Was choosing Palin the right choice? I’m all for a female vice-president, but why, oh why did they have to choose Palin? How can women expect to be trusted in power positions when the most highly visible power-woman turns out to be a bimbo? From beauty pageants to private emails to the inability to cite the names of any news sources she regularly reads, Palin has become an embarrassment. Nevermind her lacking in verbal skills. My guess is that there will be no back-and-forth questions with rebuttal answers in the upcoming VP debate. I can only image she will spend her minutes spouting memorized lines and pointedly avoid answering any questions – I don’t think she has the verbal skills to provide any rebuttal that isn’t a finely rehearsed mini-speech. Couldn’t McCain choose a woman that would make us proud? It’s like he was so desperate for a woman that he just threw a body at the problem. In contrast, if he had choosen a smarter, more capable woman all of us could stand up taller.
