1.  Assemble your tools – Fondant, roller, pointy tools, cookie cutter and food coloring.

2.  Knead then roll out fondant to 1/8 inch thickness and press daisy cutter firmly into dough.  If necessary, cut around cutout using sharp tool to ensure smooth edge.

3.  Using curved tool, press indentations into petals.

4.  Place fondant daisies onto waxed paper to dry (24 hours is best).

5.  Using gel food coloring on a toothpick, place a tiny amount into the center of a small handful of fondant.  Knead until desired color is achieved.  You may wish to wear gloves-the food coloring may stain.

6. Make daisy centers:  Roll small amounts of fondant between palms to make 1/2 inch balls.  Lightly pinch and turn each ball while pressing onto board until cone-shaped, then gently press top to make domes.

7. Glue centers onto daisy cutouts using a tiny amount of frosting.

8.  Gently press finished daisies onto tops of frosted JUMBO cupcakes.

Aren’t they adorable?
